about

A friend of mine named Annemarie from Monroe, Oregon gave me a book called "The Art of Asking", which I enjoyed reading.  On the inside cover she wrote her name, the date, and the msg 'do not return, pass it on'.  I've been doing that exact thing with every book I've ever bought and read since.  The music for this song was inspired by a temporary obsession with tangental melodies, I vaguely remember the Punch Brothers song "Soon Or Never" leading me in this direction.  I also had it in mind to create some parts 4/4 time and others 6/8 time for dramatic effect and extra fun.  On this track, Leoshki played drums and Paul Prato played bass.  This song also featured me on my knees with the organ pedals in key spots.  Favorite lyric: "...because it all really does sound better, when we all listen together"
